First HPS Grow

Hi guys , just updating and letting you all know my progress.

I had a bit of trouble with the seedlings, thought i had what looked to me anyway, like Nute burn, as the leaves were yellowing at the ends, i asked Campo for his opinion and told him exactly what i had did to them and he said he thought it was water damage , due to me foliar spraying them (with water and a little Nitrozyme) while the lights were on!!  I took his advice lifted the lights a bit and of course stopped spraying during light hours !!

Within a day or two new green leaves started to grow so obviously CC was right and his advice worked a treat so that’s me got another new little piece of info on do’s and dont’s filed away for future use !!  I feel really lucky cos seedlings can be funny buggers and are very easy to kill off when you aren’t treating them with the care and love they need, what was happening was, the water was building up and creating a Prism, which in turn magnified the light and heat and very rapidly burned and dried out the seedlings tender young leaves, a bit like when you used to kill ants or other bugs using a magnifying glass and the suns rays, so as i said i was lucky they picked up and didn’t just die off, i think i must have had the very bare amount of Chlorophyll left on the leaves to garner the energy to grow new leaves !!

Since then they have picked up a bit, some more than others, 1 in particular is a lot taller/bigger than the rest so im leaning towards it being a male, but will be waiting till i’m absolutely certain before doing anything hasty! There is really no way to compare size and growth rate with these plants anyway, because if you remember from the 1st post, i have 6 different strains in 7 plants, and to add to that confusion, one is an Auto!  Of the 7 plants , 4 are from Feminized seeds, and the Auto and 2 Sleestack x Skunk are from Regular seeds.

Up till now i have only been giving them bottled water , but on Wednesday night i started to brew a tea: In a 5 Gallon bucket, i added 1 gallon of water and my air pump, i put 1 tspn of Dolomite for Cal and Mg, 1 Tbspn of N high Bat Guano and 1 Tbspn of EWC  and 1 Tbspn of what most people call Mollasses but here in Gt Britain we call black Treacle, i left it bubbling /Brewing for approx 36 hours till there was a nice big foamy mass on top of the water which i have been reliably informed is when it is teeming with microbacterial life and gave the plants a good watering with it.

That was only an hour or 2 before writing this but so far all looks good and this time i will add a pic or two for you all to see, Again , anything im doing wrong or you know a better way of doing feel free to post in the comments.

The pic on the Right is from 2 days ago-(19/09/12), the pic on the Left was today-(23/09/12), about an hour after they had their ‘Tea’ !!
